Ride With Us on a Virtual Termite Job

Actually, the job is real.

What's "virtual" is your riding with us on it. A lot of customers wonder what will happen once "the exterminator" shows up, so we thought we take a few pictures of an actual termite job to show you.

Our termite crew arrives to perform the termite treatment.

Notice the nice, shiny truck. At Pest Quest Pest Management, we take pride in every aspect of our work -- including the ride to the job.

Our termite crew. Not the prettiest bunch you'll ever see, but a more professional termite crew you'll never find.

All Pest Quest Pest Management termite technicians have attended the Master Termite Technician School at Sand hill Research and Education Center, Clemson University in Columbia, South Carolina, undergo continual retraining to keep abreast with the latest developments in termite research and termite control methods.

Communicating and getting the homeowner involved in the treatment process is important for a successful termite management program. We're always happy to answer any customer questions about what we are doing and why we're are doing it.

It's your house, after all. You have every right to know and understand exactly what we are doing, and how it will protect your property.

Talking to customer

The actual termite job begins.

Most termite treatments involve at least some drilling -- sometimes quite a bit of it. This is how we get the termiticide down into the soil where the termites are. All holes are plugged as soon as the termiticide is pumped, and are then sealed to match the existing cement, brick, or mortar as best we can.

Drilling holes for termite control

In this shot, the technician is actually applying the termiticide.

Notice the respirator and gloves. At Pest Quest Pest Management, safety always comes first. Although the materials we use are fully registered with the EPA and state environmental agencies and have not been found to have any adverse health effects when applied properly at normal use dilutions, because we work with them every day, we always take full precautions anyway.

Applying termite control products

Our termite technicians perform foam injection treatments in difficult, termite prone areas. Converting the liquid termiticide into a foam allows for a more thorough application. Liquid treatments puddle and will travel with the least resistance. Foam applications will fill the entire void, up, down, and sideways.

In the picture to the right, the foam was injected at the top of the platform slab and foam could be seen flowing at the bottom of the front step. (Don't worry; we cleaned it up afterwards!)
